Purdue Vs NUS (Engineering)

Well, GaTech and Michigan Ann Arbor are certainly reputable national engineering universities. US NEws puts both of them in the top 5 nationally

I'd certainly put GaTech and Michigan at a level above Purdue..
However, Purdue is rising and no one knows what its rank would be when you graduate 4 years later...

lol Purdue is boring too.
I would go to NUS b/c its cheaper

Does NTU or NUS offer Undergraduate Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering degree? Are they good in this area?

NTU has the only aerospace program in singapore and its really good

how is NTU compare to Purdue in this case (Aerospace Program) ?

I think purdue is the way to go (in this case) because purdue is no.4 in US! thats amazing ... so def. purdue

4th???

where,which rankings?????

This came from another thread on Aerospace ENgineeing. This is ranked by USNews Ranking.

oh its fourth for aerospace u mean...

well in case u ppl dunno.. purdue is HIGHLY ACCCLAIMED AL TIME for its aerospace engineering program.. NASA has after MIT the highest ppl frm PURDUE.. and its amazing for it..not to mention insanely difficult to survive its course

SM

ahhh now i c...

Purdue's aeronautical engineering (AAE) course is simply great.. all thanks to its amazing faculty members. Hard-working, intelligent, and most importantly.. visionaries.. that's how I describe Purdue's AAE faculty members.

Getting into Purdue is easy.. this is because Purdue believes in the policy of giving every average student a chance to get some good quality education. However, if you cannot cope up with Purdue's intense courses, it won't think twice before kicking you out. Purdue is among the top ten in the US in several fields like Engr, Pharmacy, Landscape Architecture, Hotel Management to name a few.

If u can afford the 4 years outrageous uni fees in us and u are singaporean, then i tink u shld go into Purdue. First, u will have a better college life than in nus. I have some nus friends who find that nus life super boring. And why would you want to go through that singapore's inflexible route learning, when u can have a broder insights with us education? NTU does have an aerospace program but it is really nothing compare to michigan, caltech.... US defin have more expertise in this field than sin!

I would surely go to Purdue because of so many reasons.

It has a decent engineering, science, IT and business programs.

It is well-known world-wide.

It is in the US and opportunities in the US is bigger than in Singapore

For experience -- I would be meeting a more mixed class of people in Purdue than I would at NUS

To enhance my english language skill. English is still spoken at NUS pretty funnily.

btw guys...NUS does offer aerospace - just not as a degree. I got into Embry with a scholarship but its more expensive than NUS moreover i want to work in India or somewhere inAsia - for tht NUS is better. NUS offers an aeronautical specialization within mech engg. vch in my opinion is better coz it allows u more options in the future. FYI aero engg and mech engg are almost the same inf fact aero engg is a branch of mech in practicality. if someone cud clear this ASAP it wud be gr8 coz im a bit confused myself

Here is how I feel.First success depends on a person not on university degree. There are people from MIT having nice pay checks but there are also people from the community colleges who are known scientists and businessman. As far as compatrng Nus and perdue I think both are special in their ways. But if money is a factor go for Nus and you can do your master from MIT or Cambridge or any other and moreover you would have a wide experiance with the Asian contires...and you can always take summer school so don't forget that many grad school want people with diverse experiance....

Hey guys lsn all freshmen out there goin to NUS this fall pls join the facebook group - NUS fall 2011 pls , we need to know each other better :P:P:P:P:P

So? I had already done A Levels, if I can choose between both NUS and Purdue - I’ll choose Purdue definitely. But what’s the point, I’m ok in my current school (in neither school).
