Purdue vs. Putgers vs. Stevens vs. RPI vs. Penn State

I have been accepted to five school each with a reputable engineering programs, Purdue, Rutgers, Stevens, RPI,and Penn state. In terms of finances from highest cost to lowest they rank Penn State, RPI, Purdue, Stevens, and Rutgers. I live in NJ and my ultimate goal is to work in the Aerospace Field. I was wondering what the thoughts are on what I should choose.

aerospace or any other type of engineering, i would say from your list, Purdue is the best bet. i would visit campus first and see how you like it, if possible. some people hate the place while other people love it. but if money is a problem, i wouldn’t say Rutgers is a undesirable place to be.

Definitely Penn State - Great engineering there with a fantastic alumni network.

I’d go with Putgers… :)

I would go to Purdue, Penn St or Rutgers and take the BEST financial package.

Purdue, Penn State and Rutgers are on the same level, not quite different.
RPI is not worth the money.

Go to Rutgers since you are in New Jersey and save money for your graduate school.

I’d say Rutgers, because it’s affordable. My brother is in their engineering program right now and he loves it.

Well Rutgers’ Engineering program is ranked 50 something whereas Purdue is 9

Yeah but the money is much better at Rutgers and its not like Rutgers is Putz U. It is a GREAT school. Don’t get caught up in the hype of rankings.

Id be curious to hear where you decided to go because in my opinion RPI is the best value, you are definitely nost likely to get a job coming out of there than anywhere else
