I've been accepted to both Purdue and RPI, both in the computer science/engineering major.
How do these two stack up? I've been leaning towards Purdue, just because of the name.
RPI, did, however give me $15k per year scholarship, but the cost is about the same for both.
Any thoughts?

Hey, ive been accepted to both RPI and Purdue also, but im looking at a biomedical engineering major. It would be great if someone could post a comment here explaining which would give us a better education and why

From my experience here in the midwest, Purdue is synonym for great Engineering school. Some people don’t even know that UIUC is ranked higher in Engineering than Purdue. So Purdue has a very nice rep here. Something to consider. I don’t know much about RPI.

I would probably choose Purdue. It is somewhat better known and I would never, ever attend RPI, which is infamous for having horrible student life.

That’s just my personal opinion, of course.
