Purdue vs UCSB

I’m a Californian and looking to study economics or actuarial sciences or something like that. These are the only schools that’ve accepted me that I’m considering right now. What are some pros and cons of each school, and what should I be thinking of when making my decision?Cost isn’t an issue.

I’m also not very social. As far as i know, none of my friends are going to either of these schools. On one hand, UCSB is appealing because it’s close enough that I can go home whenever I want to, but Purdue is also exciting because it would offer a brand new environment to live in.

UC Santa Barbara is ranked higher than Purdue, also since you are in state it will be a lot cheaper. UCSB is a big party school however.
