Purdue vs UVA

<p>My son has been accepted to both Purdue and the University of Virginia and is having a difficult time deciding where to go. He wants to major in Aerospace Engineering. His dilemma is that Purdue's Engineering program is ranked higher than UVA, but UVA is ranked higer overall as a university. </p>

<p>Can anyone share their experiences with Purdue Engineering?</p>

<p>UVA is higher ranked, but Purdue engineering majors get highly recruited.</p>

<p>I think it depends on if he wants to work as an engineer or move on to other areas such as consulting or investment banking after graduation. UVA will provide a better undergrad experience than purdue, IMO.</p>
