<p>I've read online that Purdue's grading system is one of the hardest. Now I'm not sure if I should believe these reports or not. How difficult is it to get an A? How hard is the grading scale in reality?</p>
<p>It’s not really the grading system, it’s the fact that we have VERY little grade inflation. So while some schools might give 50% of the class A’s, we give like… 20% of the class A’s? Obviously this is different for different courses, and it’s not like, ONLY 5 people can get A’s (at least not in any of my classes). You get the grade you earn. That being said, I’m a Civil Engineering student with a 3.9 (out of 4.0) GPA. :)</p>
<p>I agree with Seirsly…very little grade inflation. You will need to work for those A’s!</p>
<p>Perhaps that’s why the Purdue degree (in engineering) is so coveted by employers.<br>
Or so I’m told by said employers when I interview…</p>
