I am OOS (meaning none of my courses are UC approved honors courses), but I misunderstood what they meant by honors courses on the app. I put all my normal honors courses as honors even though i should've put NH (not honors)
i've emailed them 2 times asking what i should do but no one has replied.
should i call them?

dont worry about this...if you do get admitted, in myBerkeleyapp you will later be given the opportunity to directly contact one of the director of admissions about such administrative problems and they usually say something along the lines of "thank for telling us this and we will add it to your file" and save the emails you sent them for proof just incase they ask you to show that you attempted to contact them

ahhh thank you so much :]

why do you ask such an important question on this forum? you have a phobia of making phone calls?

I think that by coming to these forums and asking these kinds of questions, people can get more candid answers. If you call an admissions office, they may unnecessarily freak you out or just give you some standard non-answer answer.

who cares if its more candid? hellohellosmile is probably going to call anyways... and ***? you really want to risk admission when you could've made a 1min phone call? be a little active with your future please...

i called and they said to write to them about the change. however, they finally replied to my email, and they said that it was fine because it is automatically changed to not honors when they see that the school is OOS
thanks for your help :)

From the UCLA website:

Q: When I list my courses on the application, how do I know what to list in the honors box?

A: The honors box on the UC Application form is used to designate a course for which an extra grade point is awarded (for a grade of C or better). There are four types of honors courses:

Advanced placement (AP)
International Baccalaureate (IB)
Honors status only applies to higher level IB courses.
College courses (CL)
This only applies to transferable (i.e., college-level) college courses.
UC-approved school-designated honors-level courses (HL)
If you attend a California high school: your counselor should have a list of UC-approved honors courses eligible for the extra grade point.
Out-of-state applicants: only designate HL for courses designated as honors level on your official transcript.

So yes, it's okay as long as your transcript matches. I'm just wondering whether I should have put "Honors" within the course title as well along with the subject, something I did not do.
