I took the psat last october and I think I put the wrong email address.

I've been getting mails(mails not emails) from colleges pasts few weeks and they all have the wrong email address listed on my information thing. This explains why I haven't been getting any emails like my friends did. I put "yes" on the psat for getting emails from colleges and collegeboard, so this means that the person with the wrong email address is getting all my emails!! I'm more concerned about a stranger getting my emails than not getting the emails..

What should I do about it? Is there a way to change the email address?

Also, do you know if the person thats getting my emails has the access to be "me" by clicking the link on the email and stuff?

I’ve been getting emails from colleges and the most information there is on each email is your first name. They just try to get you to visit their website.

I wish I put the wrong email. I’ve gotten so many I created a folder so any email with the word college or university gets doesn’t clutter up my new mail. I just delete them all.

Consider yourself lucky, occasionally you will get a good one (I personally get a UChicago email weekly) but a majority of them will be from college you have never heard of and don’t care to know about.

If you put the right home address they’ll be mailing you too…its crazy I’ve been getting emails since freshmen yr and then it went down but after taking the PSAT I get emails from colleges I’ve never heard of!

Funny how it work. get a good score on PSAT and boom here come colleges watching you lol. Almost none of them got my attention, only a few about 4-6 colleges.

lol. Colleges don’t send me a book unless I accept them lol. One college actually give out cool magazine dealing with what there students accomplished there. Lot of good stuff.

Actually I read they sell our name to colleges and if we have good scores in certain areas or live in a rich city/zip code colleges try to send info…I think I did kinda bad b/c my state percentile was 59…its still fun to get free info in the mail eventhough I’m not going out of state
