I was going over the application I had already submitted.

Basically, in the additional info box (after the personal statements), I wrote about something that happened to me but I wrongly put that it took place in my freshman year and not sophomore year like it really did. In one of my personal statements, I mentioned this event happening last year, which was my sophomore year.

Will the discrepancy in time hurt my app since the time frame doesn't add up and it seems like I'm making the event up?

I just have to ask b/c I don't want to worry over the next 4-5 months thinking this stupid mistake is gonna bite me in the ass when decisions come.

Not knowing more than what you’ve told, I think you should be alright. However, what you’re trying to say seems like it could have been fit onto a different part of the application. I hope you didn’t go on to create a 3rd essay/personal statement, I think in general that is not advised. Best thing you could do right now, I think, is try calling their hotline whenever their offices are open. Good luck.

It was not another whole essay. What I put in the additional info was like two sentences explaining more of my interests. I guess I will call them, but will it make them suspicious now that I brought it to their attention? Whoever picks up won’t be reviewing my app right?

Any other thoughts?
