Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1408202-northwestern-washington-vanderbilt-uva-unc-nyu-stern-bc-umich-chances.html

thanks! bump!

I can see you listed your IB predicted grades. Do American universities actually look at them? In my opinion they are completely worthless, at least in my school.

honestly as long as you write great essays, I can’t see you getting rejected to any of the schools. Please chance me back :slight_smile: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1408517-please-chance-me-tufts-chicago-cornell-darmouth-northwestern-florida-2.html

@RaysGatorsFan

Predicted grades are sent with the Int’ll supplement in the commonapp, and are part of my school’s transcript. So I would assume they look at it.

i think you’re definitely in everywhere except columbia, uchicago, and darthmouth, where you still have more than excellent chances.

you seem to be a very motivated and successful individual :slight_smile: good luck in all you do!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1409730-chance-me-top-schools-thanks.html

Chicago, Columbia and Dartmouth: High reach unless EA or ED

NW: Reach (RD) decent chances (ED)

Bumpity! Bump!

Very good stats, I would say you could get into any schools based off of application alone but because you are a foreigner that could(?) negatively impact a university’s decision. The ivies/top tier school you listed are reaches for everyone. If you were an American, I would say you would have a good chance, but since you are international, not sure how a college might deal with you.

Chance me back!

Ukneadmorebread,

Try Stanford too. They are known for loving entrepreneurial students and giving FA to internationals. I suspect between your achievements and numbers you would have a realistic chance there (say 30/70, which is pretty high for int’l re Stanford; only that low due to class rank).

As for the schools you list, low reaches (33 to 50%) = Columbia, Dartmouth, Chicago (lots depend on essays); low matches (50 to 66%) = Georgetown SFS, Northwestern; (matches (66 to 90%) = UCB, UCLA, NYU. Good luck.

Muck dogs is nice to offer such numbers but these numbers are just not true. As with all very selective school it is a roll of the dice for everyone including you.
