took summer course at harvard , and wash university

you have a HUGE high school class.

anyway, ranked #1 in public school league for tennis? i don't see why not.

don't go to stanford. apply to penn ed.

thanks for you're advice, ya i do have a huge hs class and im not even sure its 800 all i no is that its def. between 800-1000 so it's probably more. but why not stanford?

you're basically in everywhere.....what is your prospective major and race/ethnicity?

in everywhere? meaning acceptances? um...medical field, cardiologist and im asain/white

as long as you dont f**k up your essays I dont see why not- I would start working on them now if i were you.

shoot

apply to harvard

oh the cornell book award. Did you go to the HPREP program? I was in it too. heh looks like you took great advantage of fastweb :P

I've been pronouncing pwned as 'poowind' all this time. it's actually supposed to be 'pohned' though, right?

u think i should apply for harvard really? i doubt theyd look at me twice expecially with that rank plus i forgot to mention freshman year in hs i got a few 70s and 80s (severe depression). then soph and junior yr i rele pulledit up relle high, expecially with the APs and since i took high school credict courses in 8th grade my 8th grade grades counted (which were rele high aswell) so it helped boost my average up and make up for the 70s.

somehow, I doubt that you actually "exist". Your BS'ing. There is no possible way you could have done all of those things...However, if you did, apply to the following: HYPSM. You're guaranteed admission to all. But come on, really... "stem cell researcher"? Pure BS.

you really think he'll make it into harvard with a #70 rank out of 800?
yeah, that is indeed impressive, but what about like.. the top 15 or so? haha..

and yeah, all of those awards and ec's seem a bit ridiculous.

The EC are ridiculous, if they do consider u, they will look deep into ure profile meaning be prepared to back up those EC. They will ask u about them at interview. If u dont go to the interview, then they might try to contact ure supervisors in ure EC. So if ure lying, psshh be prepared to be rejected.

to-prospectiveMD and whoever
wow do you honestly have lives, posting this stuff on peoples threads if you think its bs thats you're fault not mine and if you think i'm lying ...why do you think i care? and yes i actually do all those E.c's ...i dont see why you have such a problem with my e.c's and the stem cell researcher part...only you would be stupid enough not to know that there are a few kids my age that i know that are also stem cell researchers. and lastley if you think somethings B.S or ridiculous why dont u check it out first and shut your mouth.

What the heck???

He's by no stretch of the imagination "in" at HYPMS. He gets into 1 at best due to his low rank.

thats what i was thinking

Rank does matter; grade inflation is prevalent among high schools, and college admissions officers know that. Also, he/she seems rather non-chalant about his/her activities. Could be detrimental in the college admissions process. Note the phrase: "help out poverty stricken." Vague, and written in a rather superficially Miss-America tone, no?

Also, when did you win second place for NPEC? Because the 2nd place winners for the past two years have been seniors. I know this because I was a finalist last year, and I've been keeping up-to-date on recent winners.

I'm beginning to doubt the validity of the OP's claimed credentials. First of all, he is not very well-spoken for a supposed winner of multiple essay contests. Secondly, some of his activities and awards are rather vague. For instance "writing contest-$10,000". He claimed in a previous post that his school (no doubt public, given the class size) sponsored this essay contest. Now, I could be mistaken, but public schools rarely dish out $10K for a school-wide writing contest. Just a thought.

Finally, even if these credentials are valid, some of his extracurricular activities are vague, OR they sound like space fillers that require minimal responsibility or dedication. For instance:

"Help out in fundraisers/walks"

"Organized fundraiser"

"Help out poverty stricken"

"Stem cell researcher"

I am unmoved by this application, and I doubt not only its validity but also its sincerity.

He's a troll. He can't spell "scholar" correctly yet he says he won the Nat'l Peace Essay. LOL.

help out poverty sticken is the name of the club (H.O.P.S)
i volunteered in a lab and i helped a stem cell researcher, she taught me the basics and when she trusted me enough she let me do it on my own
