<p>Does anyone know if UCB admits by major (like UCD)? I applied as a Psychology major and was just wondering if this was easier to get into than say...Engineering, Biology, etc.</p>

<p>GPA- 3.95 (3.5 freshman year, 4.2 since)</p>
<p>SAT- 1920 (could be better, i know)</p>
<p>EC's : National Honor Society, newspaper, Part-time job, volunteer work at retirement home, soccer, few minor others</p>
<p>Other: immigrant (europe)</p>

<p>UCB has impacted majors, such as engineering and such, but psychology falls into letters and science? If so, then it doesn't matter what your major is. Sucks for my friend who applied to anthropological sciences to see if it was easier to get in to though...</p>
<p>the college of letters and science does not admit by major. only engineering admits by major. for lns, you dont declare your major until the end of your sophomore yr. the box you checked on your app is for statistical purposes only.</p>
