Hello College Confidential community,
I am extremely passionate about a cappella and its place on the University of Richmond campus, and I wanted to open up this thread to anyone who wants to learn more about these groups! As for some basic information, we have four a cappella groups on campus. Two groups, Choeur Du Roi and Off the Cuff, are co-ed. One group, The Sirens, is all-female. And one group, the Richmond Octaves, is all-male.
I myself am a proud member of the Richmond Octaves, and I am currently the music director of the group, so I have a lot I can share with those who are interested.
So feel free to ask any questions about auditions, rehearsals, concerts, culture…anything! I’m happy to answer (other UR people feel free to contribute responses too!)
