is that going to have any bad effect?
I heard it's not going to affect my GPA, right?
by the way, it's not my major class.

the deadline is this Wed. 21st

No, Q drops will not affect your GPA but they definitely will be on your transcripts forever and more. If you plan on getting into grad school/medical school/any post-undergrad schools, don’t have more than two.

Or even one in some cases.

Are you failing this class? Is there any way that you can raise your grade up?

If you are failing it and the class is only going to get harder (and you know that you can’t raise it up to an A or B) I would suggest dropping the course. A Q drop is better than an F.

Are you a natural science freshmen? If you are I think you have one special extended Q drop.

CryingIvy: yes i’m a natural science freshman but i’m planning on transferring to communication next year. i am failing the biology, i got a 70 on the first midterm test, and now the second exam is coming up and i’m feeling worse. i should be able to take a math class or what to have my natural science part fulfilled. what do you mean by the special extended Q drop?? do i still have it if i’m transferring next year?? Thanks a lot for replying!!

I got the same exact score on the first exam, and I’m 100% sure I failed the second exam. Should I drop as well? Or will I have a chance at passing the course with a B or C if I study my ass off for the third exam and the final?
