Q Drops and their Effects

Ok so I am thinking about going and Q-dropping a Calc M408D course on Monday.

I have spoken to my counselor and she said it would have no effect on my GPA.

I plan to just take the course next semester.

However, i was wondering if there are any unforseen implications of Q-drops? I know we only get 6 during our entire tenure as an undergrad but that seems like plenty. Do employers or grad school look at me at inferior, will my reproductive organ get smaller, etc etc?

There’s no academic penalty of Q-dropping. I dropped several courses. Just don’t do too many and you’ll be fine. Many employers (all of mine) never even asked for a transcript or even proof of graduation.

There’s no penalty that I know of, except with regards to getting into upper division nursing. Apparently Q-dropping a science course at any point before applying to the upper division sequence will lead to automatic weed-out. I know it’s true because the lady in charge of health professions advising told me that one of the nursing advisors told her that. A bit harsh, no? (More like a lot harsh. >_<)
