<p>Hi! I was wondering if I could get some feedback about my application because I think I have a pretty strange story. </p>
<p>One of my parents works in finance and I had a very privileged childhood/grew up in a really wealthy town until around 10 years ago or so when we lost all our money. A couple of years ago our house was foreclosed on (moved in with some relatives) and we've declared bankruptcy and now make around $30k a year. However, I'm aware that because of my past I've had access to a really great education and opportunities, which isn't really in line with the QB message of choosing students who come from extremely disadvantaged background. Also I wouldn't be first generation at all -- my parents graduated from top liberal arts colleges and my older siblings are at ivy leagues right now. </p>
<p>I have really strong academics, basically perfect SAT scores, etc etc but I'm worried that QB will be skeptical when they see how I grew up/the advantages I've had compared to other applicants. Can someone give me any thoughts? Any past QB finalist who has a similar story? Thanks so much!! :)</p>
