I had thought that the college app process would now be over until the second round, but it appears to be an extended, seemingly endless marathon. So to place most of the colleges on the College Match selection list means we have to immediately begin repackaging the Questbridge forms into Common App forms AND writing a bunch of new supplemental essays (to meet a Nov. 1st deadline)?

I especially don't understand the requirement for letters of recommendation. Do we have to send a SECOND copy of the SAME recommendations, have the recommendations redone on Common App forms or are the recommendations already submitted online enough? I dread the idea of needing to bother these poor overworked teachers again so soon.

If you’re applying to partner colleges that require the Common Application, then you’d have to essentially submit the Common Application as if the Questbridge National College Match Application didn’t exist, all by November 1st. This includes Teacher Recommendations using the Common Application form.

Although, most colleges allow you to recycle the essays you used for Questbridge for their Common Application forms. For more on individual colleges’ policies, I would refer to the College Match Program’s College Specific Requirements: [College Match Program: Requirements](http://www.questbridge.org/cmp/college_requirements.html).

Even though you aren’t notified of a decision until October 22, I suggest you begin the Common Application ASAP, particularly by asking teachers for recommendations again. This is all, however, assuming you are accepted as a Finalist. I wish you the best of luck in your college admissions process. (:

^Yeah, the match process is crazy. I’m personally only ranking Yale (they don’t require the common app). I need to focus on classes and get some sleep :)

Can we use different teachers on the CommonApp?
