<p>Hi! So, I recently applied to South Alabama, but I wasn’t sure where I would post that, so I just decided to do it here. </p>
<p>My problem is that I have really bad pollen allergies. I get terrible allergies in the spring. Currently, I live in Chicago, so it’s not TOO bad, but can anyone tell me how Alabama would compare to that sort of thing?</p>

<p>I don’t live in Mobile but what trees are you specifically allergic to? Many of the species that grow in Chicago don’t grow in Mobile but it really depends on the species. For example, if you are allergic to a kind of oak that grows in Chicago, you may be fine for a few years in Mobile but eventually you would probably be allergic to the live oaks in Mobile too. On the other hand, if you are allergic to a tree that grows in the north but has no close relative in the south, you would likely be fine. If you have no idea which tree it is, all I can say is that most trees that grow in Mobile don’t grow in Chicago.</p>
