I would like to know from students what to expect as a freshman for the nightlife and partying? Also how is the school spirit? Thanks!

Hi @ryan66, I’ll also hopefully get some current QU student input on this as well. Speaking from a former freshman perspective (I graduated from QU in 2007 as an undergrad) as best as I can…

In terms of partying on campus, we are a college so naturally that’s going to occur. All students are required to follow the student conduct policy which limits many things. If students are caught in violation of this they go through a conduct hearing. There are also over a 120 different clubs and organizations, events on campus from Friday through Sunday morning (literally throughout the night) you can do and a part of. Personally I never felt pressured to do any specific activity while a student on campus.

As for school spirit, I think it’s very strong. We have had a nationally ranked hockey team the past three years which attract many students to the games, on campus people are proud to be a QU student. From an alum point of view, we are all very very proud and reminiscent of the days we had at the University.

I hope others chime in as well.

Paul I think scheduling a visit would help my chances so when scheduling online do I chose interview freshman?

Sure, interviews cannot hurt, picking “interview - freshman” would be your best option if you are currently in high school.
