Quad question

Can anyone tell me the name of the green between University Hall and Wilson and Sayles.

Thank you.

-Alvy

the main green?

Yes...is there a specific name?

well, i guess it's "official name" on a campus map is the College Green, but everyone refers to it as the Main Green.

i've never heard anyone call it college green, not to say that thisisliz is wrong, but to point out how "the main green" is basically its name.

Xavier Phinnaeus Green, Esq.

oh, yeah i know nobody calls it college green. i didn't even know it was called that until i went and looked at a map.

thanks a lot for the responses; I'm referring to the green in an essay, and I don't want to sound foolish. It's probably better to refer to the green as it is most frequently called than to use its "official" name

-Alvy

Yeah, call it the "Main Green." That's what students call it, although maps refer to it as the "College Green."

you could also just refer to it as "the green." they'd know what you're talking about.

it's named after Xavier Phinnaeus Green, Esq., dammit

Actually Amor, you forgot the III

If he were alive to see the way you left out the honorifics and prefixes he'd be ****ed.

i think he was in clue

They should've named it after Josiah Carberry... but then it wouldn't be called the Green, now, would it?

carb with grass?

lol cracked pots green =P
