Qualifications for In-state Dean's 2,000 Scholarship

<p>Im interested in UMass and was wondering what the average GPA and ACT are for those who receive the Dean's Scholarship (in state).</p>

<p>I’ve never seen averages published anywhere.</p>

<p>For one data point, take it for what it’s worth - my kid, who was in-state, had a 4.5 GPA and a 1550/2220 SAT, got a $1000 Dean’s Scholarship. He did not apply early action though, which I think increases your chances.</p>

<p>As another data point, I applied regular decision, in state, earned the $2000 scholarship with 1370/2040 SAT and 3.8 unweighted 4.4 weighted GPA</p>

<p>I also applied regular decision and in-state, and got a $2,000 scholarship with a 1340/2030 SAT score, 3.8 unweighted GPA, around a 4.8 weighted GPA, and no class rank as a homeschooled student. I was also admitted to the Commonwealth Honors College. Hope this helps! :)</p>
