Qualifications for merit scholarships?

For the scholarships, do they give some for high GPAs (not looking at test scores) and high test scores (not looking at GPAs)? Basically, do the merit scholarships incorporate both gpa and test scores or for one or the other?

I think the factors they use (or at least the weighting of those factors) has changed some over the last couple of years. But basically it seems that to get the Presidential takes both high GPA with a strong schedule and high test scores, while for the lower awards one very high category can pull you up some. But I don’t think it is like a 2300 SAT with a 2.8 GPA is going to get you the $25K. Of course that probably wouldn’t even get you in Tulane, but you know what I mean. It is a sliding scale of some sort, along with other factors they like to see.

Yeah, that makes sense. I was accepted on Saturday so I guess I will just wait to see what they offer me. I’m fortunate enough that my parents can afford the tuition but a scholarship would certainly help, therefore I am grateful to just be admitted.
