My job requires extra time outside of school, complete trust to keep the confidentiality of the trials, and personal upholding of the honor code.

Student Government President – 12th grade – I won election from the student body for President of the Student Government, which annually plans school competitions, fundraisers, and student social events. The primary goal of this coming school year is to create a steady income to afford more social events and to improve the lives of the student body.

(blank) Ambassador – 11th grade – This is a unique shadowing opportunity for prospective students. Ambassadors are selected according to class rank, personal merit, and interview performance. Whenever prospective students wish to spend the day at the school they will shadow a (blank) ambassador and learn everything about the school. Ambassadors also give tours on special parents’ weekends.

Superintendent Advisory Board – 11th grade – I was a member of the school system’s Superintendent Advisory Board, which is a channel of communication between the superintendent and student body of the several high schools in the school system. The membership selection is made by the superintendent and principal of the school based on personal merit.

Honors Diploma and Horizon Project – 11th grade – This is the school’s highest academic endeavor. Students must complete a 100-hour research project. My horizon project focuses on the war ethics in the Pacific during Japanese expansion from the late 1920’s to the end of World War II. As a part of my research, I will be visiting several World War II vessels to gain primary visuals and will interview several veterans. By the end of my one-year research project, I hope to combine all of my findings into a short forty five-minute documentary.

As a part of the cultural immersion, I lived with a host family for a week and experienced the village lifestyle.

You are a very well-rounded candidate. I think you have as good of a shot as anybody. It will really depend on how competitive your district/state is. Have you taken the ACT test yet? If not, I would suggest giving that a shot to see if you can improve your scores over your SAT equivalent.

I took the ACT twice and got a 29 composite both times.
