Qualifying for a student loan

I was wondering...are there any banks that issue student loans based on a student's GPA? If so, which ones? I understand that is usually not what qualifies someone for a student loan, but I was just wondering since I am having trouble meeting the usual requirements right now.

Well, if you find one, please let us all know. Banks issue loans to people who have a pretty good chance of paying them back. (Recent subprime examples notwithstanding).

Student loans are a function of financial need, and some other factors. Not GPA. A regular loan is contingent upon ....credit scores, and cosigners, and cosigners credit scores, and collateral.

Some lenders for private loans might give you a little break on interest for a good GPA...
