I hear a lot about Brown for undergrad, but much less about its graduate programs. How good are Brown's graduate programs (especially biology)?

the strength of thre grad programs at brown vary by department, but biology is generally very strong--particularly given the recent half a billion dollars in investments into the life sciences.

in particular, neuroscience (brown has the only graduate neuroscience program in the U.S. that the NIH has chosen to collaborate with), and molecular biology (check out the joint program with woods hole) are outstanding.
