Quality of High School in College Admission

I was just wondering how much of a factor the quality of one's high school is in the college admissions process, especially for UC's. If someone attends a highly competitive high school, is it harder or easier for them to get admitted?

Thanks!

If you are in the top 10% of your HS you are guaranteed admission to at least one UC. So I suppose in that sense it will be harder if your HS is competitive. But if you are truly outstanding, you will be outstanding no matter where you come from.
