I chose to attend Smith because of its open curriculum, meaning I won't have to take any math classes if I didn't want to. However I found out that incoming students have to take a quantitative reasoning test, and apparently some colleges require the student to take a math course if they fail. Is it like this at Smith? As for the exam itself, does it have a time limit? How detailed are the questions?

Relax, you can’t fail. The test is only used for institutional research.

Relieved to know that. Thanks @CrewDad!
