Which universities are strong in quantum, especially quantum computing, research, and which ones are well known for -teaching- it?
I've already tried Google, it didn't help.

Cornell Physics has a course in Quantum Information Processing. Cornell ECE has a course in Applied Quantum Optics for Photonics and Optoelectronics.

Schools strong in interdisciplinary nanotech are your best bet.

Quantum is not a sub-discipline of physics.

Good (and large) physics schools will have relevant research to this area.
