Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Chemistry

Has anyone taken Quantum Mechanics (Physics 453) and/or Quantum Chemistry (Chemistry 463) before? If so:

Is it a bad idea to take these two courses at the same time (is there anything chemists do differently than physicists that would make it incredibly confusing)?

How much work per week did you put in to each class?

Is there enough difference between the courses such that taking both is not redundant?

Heh, I imagine that the chance of there being someone who hangs around these boards who has taken Quantum Mechanics and Quantum Chemisty is pretty slim. Good luck though.

Bump!

Even if you’ve only taken one of these classes, I’d appreciate any information you can give.

Try finding a subsequent course (or something that people would commonly take after) and just going to the class and asking someone.
