Quarter System or Semester -- Which would you prefer?

Just as the topic says,

would you prefer a quarter system in your college, or a semester system, and why?

bump......

Personally, I like the quarter system. Why?

Each semester goes faster

If you get a bad prof, it only lasts for 10 weeks

Very good for getting internships and co-ops.

Can take a wider variety of courses than with a semester system.

Less to study for finals.

If you mess up a quarter, not as painful as if you messed up a semester.

Cons:
1. No fluff time, Profs start moving quickly from day one
2. More finals to study for in a year.
3. Some subjects don't lend themselves well to quarters such as art or subjects that require long, in- depth projects
4. Each course has less depth than if given over a semester (duh)

quarter- more classes, more learning, get general education, distribution classes out of the way faster, if your professor stinks, you only have them for about 10 weeks, more time to explore your interests

Quarter: can take a variety of classes, less to study for midterms and finals, easier to make up for a bad quarter.

Semester: more depth, longer projects

I prefer the quarter system.

I prefer the semester because I'm attending college to learn what I love so the longer it is the better because I'll be enjoying everything I learn.
