sorry guys,

I'm a little confused by the quarter system.

Basically, one year= 3 quarters, with one quarter being in the summer?

How long do classes last? All 3 quarters? Or does it depend on the actual class (...because I've seen posters say to take one GE per quarter)?

Thanks

yes, 1 school year is 3 quarters.

classes last 1 quarter, but GE clusters are year-long (3 quarters).

classes last 1 quarter?

That seems so short... so that means we'd have to register for 3 sets of classes per year?

For example, introductory Chemistry would last only one quarter (and how many weeks is this)?

I'm quite clueless. Thanks

10 weeks. it is REALLY fast. right now its 6th week and i feel like we just started not too long ago and that i havent really learned much.

A quarter is actually 11 weeks if you include finals week, and Fall Quarter is actually 12 weeks if you include move-in week a.k.a. zero week as well.

And actually, introductory chemistry isn't just one course... there's a few.
