I'm currently waiting for my acceptance OR REJECTION letters from UCLA and Berkeley. If I get into both, I think I will have a really hard time deciding on which school because of the two different academic calendars.
Which calendar is easier to manage?
Does being on a quarter system mean I have to take a lot more classes than if I was on a semester? If so, does that mean I would be at Berkeley a lot longer?
Are the semesters really rigorous?
Are the quarters too fast paced?

Anything would help.=) Thanks

The requirements for the major, the total units needed to graduate and the units per course you take are all adjusted with the aim that it takes the same four years to graduate under either system.

You have more classes listed on your final transcript under a quarter system, but often that just means three calc titles versus two calc titles for the same years worth of content.

I will let others respond on quarter versus semester workload experiences.

anyone else care to voice their opinions/comments?
