I might be forgetting something...
But anyways, what chances do you guys think I have at the schools mentioned above?
(safety, match, or reach?)

University of Georgia - in
Georgetown - low reach
American University - in
George Washington - in
Yale - high reach
Princeton - high reach
Brown

What about Brown?

oops, didnt see that.
its a low reach/reach. u never know with ivy schools.

your profile looks solid. are you holding an american passport?

Just letting you know, Wisconsin-Madison has a great language program. And check a lot of these state schools or some other schools for the honors programs.

Have you considered the UPenn Huntsman Program? With your language background it seems like you should. I can’t really say your chances though, sorry.

I have a greencard so I am a permanent resident (essentially the same as a citizen minus the ability to vote). Would this make me “diverse”? Or does the fact that I am a white girl slash that possibility?
And I have considered UPenn but didn’t realize they had a good language program. Thanks! I will definitely look into that!

I’ve always been told that Georgetown is the premier language school, seems like that fits exactly what you want. Can’t give any chances though.

I find you a rather fascinating applicant, and I’m sure all of the colleges will be really interested in the diversity of experience that you can bring to their school. My opinion there is somewhat hard to quantify in a chancing scenario though.

Your GPA looks good, along with ECs, Awards, and Activities. The only thing that is a little weak would be your SAT score, though it is pretty good.

I’m not that familiar with University of GA so I’m not going to offer any sort of opinion there, but:

Georgetown – low reach. I can see them loving your diverse background, along with GPA, but the SAT could be a little on the low side.
American – IN
George Washinton – IN (honors program definitely possible)
Brown – medium reach (more than Georgetown since Georgetown wants international people, but less than Yale/Princeton)

Yale/Princeton – High reach for everyone. Really there isn’t much to be said about those two haha.

bila, it’s not exactly a linguistics/language program but you’re required to specialized in a language and it basically combines international relations with business. it’s very selective, definitely look into it though.

5=quintuple, not “quatri”

@Borb
Haha I definitely realized that as soon as I posted it… I think what I meant to say was four languages in addition to English… oops :/

And thanks for all the comments! I really appreciate them!

haha
I could speak English
Yo pudeo hablar espanol
Я говорю Русский
and i could speak japanese
日本語を話す

does that really give me an advantage along with being an URM?

University of Georgia - Likely
Georgetown- Possible
American University- Safety
George Washington- Possible
Yale- Reach
Princeton- Reach
Brown- Low Reach

Chance Back?

University of Georgia- match
Georgetown- highmatch
American University- safety
George Washington- safety
Yale-reach
Princeton reach
Brown reach

it’s funny, i’m ukrainian too and speak the same languages, except i took German instead of Czech))
