I am currently a Canadian citizen studying and living in Canada, outside of Quebec though. Do I qualify for Quebec residency? I have no connections with being from Quebec. In my application for admission, I declared having Canadian legal status and qualifying for Quebec residency. However, idk if I qualify for Quebec residency. Do I need to change it if I don’t qualify? I think this is for tuition. If that’s the case, can I just submit proof of being a Canadian citizen, get the non-Quebec Canadian tuition fee, and not change that I don’t qualify for Quebec residency?
You checked the wrong box on the application. You do not qualify as a Quebec resident and will pay the out of province Canadian tuition rate. You are not a Quebec resident because you have never lived in Quebec. You submit proof of Canadian citizenship and McGill will charge you the out of province tuition.
Do I have to notify McGill about not being able to qualify as a Quebec resident or can I just submit proof of my Canadian citizenship without informing them that I am not a Quebec resident?
You can call Service Point but when they see that you do not submit proof of Quebec residency they would automatically charge you the out of province rate.
