Queens College vs Baruch - Accounting

So I know Baruch College in NY is well-known in the NYC area for Accounting/Business. It is also accredited by the AASCB.

Queens college, on the other hand, is known more for other majors I think and is not accredited by the AASCB (or so I've heard)

I would definitely choose Baruch but due to my circumstances had to choose Queens College.

Will this harm me in the future?

If you had your own circumstances, then I guess for you, it would lbe better to go to Queens. Queens is a great school, but it would’ve been better if you chose Baruch. At my current internship in a finance firm, there are students from Baruch, NYU, Columbia, and other colleges in the city. Not that many doors are open for people who major in business in Queens (Queens College, St. John’s, etc). Honestly, try to go to Baruch because it would be so much better for your future, especially if you want to go into accounting/business.

Can’t argue w/ ak, though I’ll say that in the general case, I would not worry about AASCB at the undergraduate level.

Sorry for bringing this old thread back, but I have the same worrying question as the OP had.

I’m currently at Queens College and I’m thinking about transferring to Baruch if it’s going to be better for me once I graduate. However, Queens College is also AASCB accredited. Does this mean that I should stay at Queens College? I know accounting courses should be similar because of the AASCB.

My main reason for wanting to stay at Queens is because I live about a mile or so away from the school, and I walk there every school day. Input?
