Queens vs Waterloo Honours Art

Hi! I’ve recently been accepted into both Queens and Waterloo for a humanities programme and want to pursue law after this. I’m quite confused between to two. Does a Queens bachelors degree have more prestige in the humanities department and is it a better option for me if I’d like to eventually apply to Queens for law. Please let me know
Thanks

Queen’s humanities programs are stronger than those at Waterloo and you will be around more like minded people. But a Queen’s bachelor’s degree will not give you a boost into Queen’s Law.

Thankyou!
I’m not sure if the co-op programme at Waterloo is worth the choice. I’ve heard great things about both programmes but I’ve heard that Queens has more prestige for under-grad and has a good internship programme. Do you know anything regarding that?

If you were a STEM major it would be Waterloo without question. Not familiar with Queen’s internships.

Waterloo is the place to be if you want a university with work placements. Prestige won’t matter for law school applications.

Except there are few work placements in the humanities. Queen’s programs are much stronger than Waterloo’s. The exception would be if Waterloo has offered you an entrance scholarship and money is a concern.

The overall coop employment rate at Waterloo is 97.7%. Their humanities students get coops too.

What kind of coop placements do the humanities students get? I’m curious.

Those won’t matter as far as law school apps go. The only school that takes your undergrad uni and major into consideration is U of T Law, and it’s the most competitive law school to get into. If you’re interested in Queen’s for law, it won’t matter but I would recommend Queen’s over Waterloo. The campus is nicer and you’ll be settled in Kingston already if you get into Queen’s for law.

I have to agree with all the above: Queen’s all day for humanities. I went to Waterloo for grad school, and it’s second-to-very few for math/eng/CS, but for humanities there are better choices.
