Quell My Fears

Hey guys, would you guys mind chancing me for the top universities in the US? Yes, I am international, I am Asian, I do not have any hooks, but I do have a dream. Any insights to quell my worries would be appreciated! :)

Objective:[ul]
[] SAT I (breakdown): 2170 (CR 680, M 720, W 770)
[] SAT II: Math 2C 800, Chemistry 770, Physics 720 (I don't take Physics)
[] Weighted GPA: 4.06
[] Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): N/A
[] AP (place score in parentheses): Statistics (5), European History (3), Calculus AB (5; self-studied), Calculus BC (5; self-studied), Physics C Mechanics (5; self-studied), Chemistry (4; self-studied), Microeconomics (4; self-studied), Macroeconomics (4; self-studied)
[] IB (place score in parentheses): Predictions: English A Language & Literature SL (7), Spanish AB Initio SL (6), Economics HL (6), Chemistry HL (7), Biology HL (7), Mathematics HL (7)
[] Senior Year Course Load: Same as above + IB Spanish B SL + IB Further Mathematics HL
[] Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): 4 International Math Awards (the European equivalent of USAMO/IMO) - I am currently number 1 mathematics among international schools in Europe; 4 National Chemistry Awards[/ul]

Subjective:[ul]
[] Extracurriculars (place leadership in parentheses): Focused yet somewhat diverse. Not the best in the world, but definitely shows my passion, and I've done as much as my schools could offfer.
[] Job/Work Experience: See Above
[] Volunteer/Community service: See Above
[] Essays: I really liked them
[] Teacher Recommendation #1: Probably Good
[] Teacher Recommendation #2: Probably Good
[] Counselor Rec: Probably not so good - I moved right before my senior year
[] Additional Rec: None[/ul]

Other[ul]
[] State (if domestic applicant): N/A
[] Country (if international applicant): Somewhere in Europe. Rather not say, but not in the main ones like the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy etc
[] School Type: Private International
[] Ethnicity: Asian
[] Gender: M
[] Income Bracket: $100,000
[li] Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): None[/ul]
[/li]

Reflection[ul]
[] Strengths: Extracurriculars and Essays (to a certain extent; it's subjective, but all I can tell you is that I liked them). Diversity (Asian applying from a not-so-common European country). I also speak 5 languages.
[] Weaknesses: SAT Scores, Ethnicity and GPA (4.06 was only because I got straight A's during Junior Year; burnt out on my Sophomore year)
[li] Where are you applying: Harvard, Princeton, MIT, Columbia, Cornell, UPenn, Duke, Brown, UC Berkeley, UCLA[/ul]
[/li]

Other Factors:
I moved during my freshman year to a not-common European country. I moved again after my junior year to a not-common European country.

As mentioned, I am international, I am Asian, and unlike most Asians, I have a low SAT score. (Though the 720 on math was purely a mistake...believe it or not I've won many international math awards). Any insights would be appreciated, but I hope you'll say more that just "You're an Asian International with no hooks and a low SAT score so your chances are slim." Cheers! :)

Harvard: Reach
MIT: Reach
Princeton: Reach
Columbia: Reach
Cornell: Reach (but more reachable than Harvard/Princeton/MIT)
Brown: Reach
Duke: Reach
Berkeley: Match (if full-freight)
UCLA: Match (if full-freight)

Get yourself a safety if you’re not already in somewhere.

Already in Georgetown. Are Cornell and Brown reaches too? After looking over decision threads their SAT scores seem to vary a lot. I was considering them as more of a reach/match.

Thanks for the reply!!!

Cornell and Brown are just as reachy as Georgetown was for you…

Cool. How about Columbia, Penn and Duke?

Same, these schools are all fairly similar in regards to how selective they are.

Okay, so just to get a final idea,

Harvard = Princeton = MIT > Columbia = Brown = Cornell = Duke = Penn > Berkeley = UCLA?

Merci Beaucoup :)

Basically, obviously schools are never truly equal to each other, but how you listed them is rather accurate

No, more like Harvard = Princeton = MIT = Columbia > Penn = Duke > Brown = Cornell > Berkeley > UCLA

In my personal opinion at least.

“You’re an Asian International with no hooks and a low SAT score so your chances are slim”
^I think you just chanced urself. ;)

Harvard = MIT = Princeton = Columbia > UPenn = Duke > Brown = Cornell = Georgetown (just added for scale) > Berkeley = UCLA

@WallyWest Yeah I know my chances are slim haha but hey, I can dream, right? I was hoping other insights other than my ethnicity, international status and SAT scores. And this is just the surface of my application (as I see it) as my extracurriculars and essays have (hopefully) more to offer than what I wrote here.

Thank you all for chancing! :)
