Qu'est-ce que c'est Dimensions?

Translation for those non-frenchies: what is Dimensions? I feel like everyone always talks about it!

WHAT IS DIMENSIONS?!

Dimensions is held in april for students admitted RD into Dartmouth. Although ED students are not invited, they are definitely welcomed to attend except they have make their own arrangements (find hosts. etc).

Prospective students for the Class of 2009 began arriving on campus Wednesday afternoon for this year's Dimensions program, which will continue through Saturday.

Approximately 450 of the 1752 students accepted in the regular decision admissions pool are expected to converge on Hanover during the next few days. The 397 students admitted early decision are not invited to attend Dimensions.

A flood of admitted members of the Class of 2008 has already descended on campus to experience Dartmouth life first-hand, although the College hopes that the Dimensions of Dartmouth weekend will not include fraternity basements and trips to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Dimensions weekend commenced Thursday when more than 500 of the recently regular-decision admitted '08s arrived in Hanover to attend panels, receptions and information sessions and to stay with student hosts in College dormitories.

Maybe a few student will chime in on their dimension experience

You arrive on a Wed. afternoon and leave Saturday morning (free buses from Hanover to Manchester). The college puts on A TON of different panels/events/mixers everyday, you get to eat at the dining halls basically for free (you are given $40 worth of food coupons), and there are a couple non-alcoholic events at frats. You are hosted by freshman on campus. The experience is a little hit or miss, depends how well you click with your hosts, but either way, it is an amazing opportunity to get to know the school. You can talk to random students, attend classes, attend club meetings you are interested in...No other school is this welcoming! Everyone who is accepted RD to Dartmouth should attend. I met a lot of students at Dimensions who weren't expecting to go here, but then fell in love during Dimensions.
