Anyone know the details about it? Other than what the sites says. Like what specifically you do, how the classes you take are, and how much work you really have to put in, ect. Also how hard is it to get in? I guess just let me know more about it.

Alright....I'll answer for you :)
---What specifically you do: Everyone is required to take 190 their 1st semester sophomore year. And everyone is required to take 490 their 1st semester senior year. Between then, you have to take two other QUEST courses (from the list online) and business statistics (which you are required to take anyway if you're a business major). The two other courses can count as two upper-level major electives, so you really aren't taking "extra" courses per se.
In addition to the classes, there are a couple outings you have to attend, like a leadership training thing of some sort and maybe a career fair. Nothing too difficult.

---Classes are really varied in difficulty. In 190, most people get A's. But it is a lot of work--you have to be prepared to meet with your group outside of set meeting times, especially towards the deadlines for midterm and final presentations. Elective classes vary--usually a higher percentage of students get A's and B's than in other classes...whether this is because the program doesn't want to penalize students for taking on the responsibilities of the program, or just because QUEST students are better and work harder, is up for debate. I think it varies depending on the class. A website like pickaprof.com can help you out there.
There is a lot of teamwork, and it's outside-class-time work. I'd say on average, my 190 team put in (outside of class time) 2 hours a week for a while but then before the presentation we had a couple of weekends where we were in the computer lab literally all day. Actually we ordered lunch and dinner for delivery which was kind of fun, but yeah. We learned from that, if we had just put in maybe 3 or 4 hours per week the entire semester, it would've been a lot easier. So I think it gets easier as you move through the program; you learn things.

---How hard is it to get in? I think they try to keep the groups (cohorts, we call them) at around 70. So it depends on how many people apply. I believe the website tells the minimum GPA requirement and all of that.

Anything else you want to know, feel free to ask! It's a great program; I really enjoy being in it.

Thanks for the info. I appreciate it.

I got one more question(as of now). What are the benefits of Quest? Do you get better recruiting or chance for internships/jobs? Or is it just something to put on your resume?

it does look really good on your resume (or at least we're constantly hearing). we also get more opportunities to meet potential employers just for QUEST students. for your senior class (490), you are in a small group that works directly with a company on a problem...so that's also a way to get some good contacts.

i am definately going to try to do quest when I go to UMD
