I won't be doing the college match but I do want the fee waivers. If you are applying regular decision as a finalist, up to how many partner schools can you use the fee waiver?? for the match program you can rank 8 schools so maybe up to 8 waivers?

More importantly, it seems like several partner schools do not really car about the Questbridge apps when considering Regular Decision admission. Out of Stanford, Princeton, Yale, and UChicago, only Yale specifically states: "Please note that it is not necessary to write new/additional essays and you are encouraged to reuse QuestBridge essays for the Common Application and Yale Supplement. You may also request that QuestBridge forward your application, which will be treated as supplementary material to your Common App."

Other colleges don't even mention forwarding the QB application so I'm assuming they don't really matter in RD admissions huh?

And can I use the same letter of rec for Questbridge and RD common application?

I have the same question as the second post, so I’m bumping this instead of starting a new thread.

I haven’t checked each school this year, but they all agree to waive app fees for QB finalists (for most it’s by checking the “Yes” box - not sure if you have to still write in “QuestBridge Finalist”). There’s no stated limit to how many QB schools you can apply to, but you would have to complete supplements and financial aid info for each of them - which may also involve fees (to send scores and the CSS, for example).

The schools do vary on how they treat the QB app; most at least mention re-using the QB essays and at least a couple (MIT and Washinton & Lee) accept it as the only necessary app.
Princeton and Stanford suggest re-using essays with about the same language.

“Common Application with Princeton Writing Supplement*(you may use your QuestBridge essays as your Common Application essays by copying and pasting the essays into the Common Application)”

Finalists can request their QB apps be forwarded to partner colleges (in December) and you can ask the same or different teachers for recommendations for your Common and QB apps. Don’t think it would hurt you to use the same teachers, but keep in mind that some schools want a rec from a math or science teacher.
