<p>What is their exact relationship? ^^ I was a finalist for QuestBridge but denied to go further because I applied SCEA to Stanford. A week ago, Richard Shaw sent me an email saying that he has read over my QuestBridge application and is pleased I am considering Stanford. However, I am still confused as to how Stanford will regard the QuestBridge app or QuestBridge finalists. Does anybody have any idea?</p>

Stanford will most likely regard you highly. You have been "prescreened" as low-income, high-achieving and maybe first gen. I think Questbridge was founded by Stanford people. If you noticed during the app process, some of the emails are actually @stanford.edu, so there is definitely at least a loose affiliation.
From what I've heard, as a finalist, since you sent your app to Stanford, there is a note in your file that you are a QB finalist which is definitely a "boost" for you.
Since you already applied SCEA, it's probably too late but Stanford probably would have waived your application fee if you had asked them to.<br>

<p>sorry, I did not intend to sound all-important. I just wanted to have some answers to the whole QuestBridge-Stanford connection. In fact, I felt very nervous when I decided to apply to Stanford instead of proceeding with QuestBridge. A full scholarship to Amherst or Pomona is very sweet indeed. I hope I made the right decision in applying to Stanford SCEA. <em>fingers crossed until Dec 15</em></p>
