Today’s the due date for the national college match application. I couldn’t find a thread about this anywhere. I am so nervous and can’t wait unti October 20th!!
I’m so excited! Best of luck :)) Who are you ranking?
I’m ranking liberal arts colleges mostly
Ahh, got everything turned in last minute! Hope everything goes for the best.
Hello! I ranked 6 LACs and USC. Good luck, everyone!
Hey all - former matched student here willing to answer any questions about the program. Let me know if you need any help
Hey! I’m sooo nervous for Oct 20th but if I’m not a finalist I’m going to apply ED
I’m glad there’s a thread on this!! October 20th seems so far away…
Applied but waiting on a recc! Scared for october 20!
I took the SAT once in May and I don’t like my score. I am taking the ACT in October. Will all of the schools accept my October score? If not, do you guys know how I will be able to view that information.
@da2949 All of the schools should accept your October score if you become a QB Finalist. That would suck if they don’t.
ok. thanks
Have any of you guys started the FASFA?
@okruth Yeah, I want to get that and the CSS Profile done by this month.
@676339784 good planning. I’m filling out the FASFA right now but know I’ll run into an issue with the CSS with the whole non-custodial parent thing.
@da2949 yes… you just need to get everything in to the schools that you are trying to match with by Nov 1st. Those schools will not even receive your QB application from QB until Oct 20th. But you can of course submit your FAFSA, CSS Profile, Common Application, etc. even before then if you choose to…
Good luck…
Hey @future1997
If I’m a finalist, I’m unsure about using the NCM or applying early action to Yale. This is mostly because I’m afraid a Yale will not match with me because I’m not the most extreme case of low-income student. I do meet the standards for full aid though. Should I apply early action instead? I’d only be ranking Yale and Princeton through NCM.
@covenas98 Ik you were asking future but just my 2 cents if u qualify for full aid they most likely will match you and if they don’t they’ll move you to RD and you’ll get full aid there anyway so I’d say go through NCM if you apply just early action and not through QB you miss showing them a really large part of your app…what’s the point of spending so much time on that longggg application if you’re not gonna use it?
One more week!!!
@okruth good luck to you on your results/decisions. I see you indicated issue on the CSS non-custodial parent filing. Not sure of your situation but I can tell you my Son had this waived for him at his school (non-matched finalist). His mother has even less and certainly less stable with no communication/support. We filed the waiver (I think you need a second statement - School, church, counselor etc) and have not provided any info for her at all.
