I’m so happy for you guys!!! Congrats to you all, even those who did not match!! It’s an honor to even be a finalist.
Totally agree, matched or not, this is one impressive group!
@graceflows You ranked a school you don’t know much about? Lol
@graceflows I pretty much did the same thing for Colby! And, now I’ve been accepted. I pretty much had to reboot my brain, after reading the acceptance notice. Talk about coming from left field!

@IDKStressed I wasn’t a finalist, but DO IT if Columbia is your first choice. I read that many QB finalists end up getting into a great school by EDing with them after not getting matched, and they get great financial aid too.
@WWWard I wasn’t selected as a match recipient. Now, when I apply ED II does that mean I can only apply EDII to one school? Or can I apply EDII to multiple schools? Thank You!
@monkeylol ED II is the same as ED I but just with later deadlines. It is still binding, meaning that you must attend if admitted. As such, I do not see how you can apply to more than one institution via ED II. So simply choose your favorite, if you have one, but be prepared to attend – if admitted.
@WWWard I mean like this EDI we just applied (match) was also binding, but we applied to multiple schools. Is this not how the second round process works as well?
@monkeylol No… QB is unlike anything else. NCM is not technically an ED program. It allowed you to rank up to 12, but all but 4 colleges were binding. In theory, you could have only ranked Stanford, Princeton, MIT and Yale, matched with one and still kept your options open until May. You could then even apply EA or ED elsewhere.
If you were matched to a binding college… then yes - you would be committed. But QB NCM is the only method allowable to apply early to binding colleges while doing so to more than one.
Any other post-QB Early Decision offering is binding - so you can apply to only one. Early Action would be non-binding and just provide a way to get an early admission.
If you want to keep your options open, you can only apply rolling, EA and RD now.
@WWWard Awesome! Thank you!!
Also, CONGRATS to all who got matched!!
@monkeylol you’re welcome
@IDKStressed i got the letter too! Did you get two emails from columbia?
So any updates regarding these few missing schools?
