@monkeylol I am not sure that we can ever know and this is because of the fact that schools can reach out a give an acceptance to QB finalist who ranked them, but have another school above them on a student’s rank list cross-admit and the student be matched to the higher school. Given the sheer amount of finalists, it is hard to believe that any school would accept all QB Finalist who applied to them, and this can also be because the finalist didn’t meet the schools financial requirements for match.
Ah okay Thank you! @IvyCupcake78
@monkeylol
Jesus… no way. This ain’t no community college
haha if only they did that, right? @Shabeezy
@monkeylol That would be nice… but not that I am aware of.
I advise all QB Finalists who do not match tomorrow to still play it safe… apply to at least 2-3 safeties, 3-4 matches and 3-4 reaches. And any college that accepts less than 20% is a reach, regardless of stats.
My daughter ranked only 3 and has applied to 13 colleges in total, including 3 safeties and 9 QB Partners in total. She already has 2 acceptances, or she may have opted to apply to even more.
3 years ago, my older daughter applied to a whopping 17 and only got into 5. She did not try to match and only got into one QB Partner via RD - where she is now… getting wait-listed at 2 but ultimately rejected by 12.
So assume nothing. Yes… 55% of QB Finalists got into at least one QB Partner college via match or RD in 2015, but that also means that 45% did not.
@WWWard, I just want to thank you for all the help and advise you’ve given us QB finalists and non-finalists. You know how nerve-wracking the process is, so thanks for sharing your knowledge. You’ve really been a big help.
What percentage of people who ranked 12 colleges matched to at least one?
When would the results be announced?
@graceflows You’re welcome. In the past, the earliest announcements have been around 3pm eastern.
@IsaacTheFuture Unfortunately, that stat is not known. All that is known is that roughly 16% of the 4100 or so who tried to match last year (657) were successful. And that covers the full range from those who ranked only 1 all the way to 12.
Good Luck Today
Results are out! I wasn’t matched
My daughter was not matched either. The long wait into March continues. Oh well.
Good luck to others and congrats to those matched…
The results are out. To further the goal of creating a complete list of Matches by QB Partner for 2016 (12/1/2016), as you each hear about the total # matched to each QB Partner College, please feel free to copy, edit and paste this QB Partner List until it is fully complete…

I got matched with UChicago!
@WWWard
After not being matched, do I have to check the boxes for the schools I ranked with? On the reg decision form?
@Shabeezy Yes… you list all QB Partners that you plan to pursue via RD, including the ones you ranked before.
Congrats! @evilninjaz99 Did they say how many UChicago matched with in total?
@WWWard I was matched with UChicago as well!! there’s 80 total!

Thanks and congrats, @olireg02 and @Smartypants19 . I believe that 80 is a new record for a single QB Partner… just as 767 in total is.
Matched to Vanderbilt!! 22 total.
