QuestBridge College Match Finalist Interview Question

If you are a QB finalist that ranked Princeton, will they set up an interview if they are interested in you?

I only ask this because a few Non-QB, early decision students have had or made appointments to interview.

I didn’t rank Princeton, but two out of the three schools that I ranked (Brown and Dartmouth) said on their website that they won’t offer Questbridge finalists interviews because their isn’t enough time since QB finalists find out about acceptances two weeks before ED students. This could also be the case for Princeton, but again, I didn’t rank Princeton so I could be wrong.

Also, getting an interview has no baring on whether or not you’ll be accepted. Schools provide interviews for whoever they can, not necessarily the most promising candidates.

Thanks Peace 1231! :-)

After I posted the question I went back and saw exactly what you are talking about. At first I was not sure. Thanks again!

I’m so excited and can hardly wait for 12/1. After reading that email they just sent the other day listing all the other kids that did not get matched BUT still got into a lot of the partner schools (and some even got into the school they ranked after not being matched) I now have started focusing on doing the common apps for the schools on the partner list just in case I don’t get matched.

Good luck to you!

Thanks and good luck to you too!

Questbridge applicants are offered interviews, but usually later than EA/ED applicants, because we are listed as “Regular Decision” on file.

I really think it depends on the school and how they conduct interviews. I was offered an interview less than a week after submitting my application to Columbia, which was most likely before ED students. I think it depends on the timing of your submission and how it correlates to availability - then again, I participated in a current student interview rather than an alumnus.
