DD was selected to attend the college admissions conference @ Yale. Such a great day for all of you!! They apparently choose the location, to make it easier to travel to. We live in New Haven so that location Makes total sense!

When you RSVP, you will see that you can invite one guest.

I also got the conference at Yale and nomination for a campus visit! I’m totally shocked I didn’t expect to get an award! Although i’m also a little confused about the campus visit thing…
Does anyone know the stats on this scholarship? Like how many applications there were and how many awards given out?

I got the conference at Stanford but I live at Hawaii and its a bummer :). Well I was also nominated for the all paid expenses thing and they said that the school will contact you if you are chosen for the free tour and trip.

I got the Yale conference and college visit
Do they notify the winners of a Quest for Excellence award at same time as the other awards or will we find out later?

I got the Northwestern conference and a college visit nomination! yayyyyy I just wanna find out about the summer program though! Mid-May couldn’t possibly come quickly enough

I got invited to the conference in Stanford and the nomination for the visits. I am so grateful but I really really hope I could get the summer program to Yale <3 My stats are good. 4.2 GPA 1800 SATs (will improve) and i know my essay was good. What do u guys think?

Sure mantisshrimp! I have a 3.8 UW/4.6 W, I’m in all IB classes, and got a 29 on ACT and 1990 on SAT (the latter of which I didn’t submit, because I couldn’t find the report paper :P) anyways, my ECs aren’t that strong, which is why I don’t think I’m going to get the summer program but a girl can dream right??!

My son just got his College Prep notification too!! Yale, June 22nd. You should all share emails and get together !!

All your questions can be answered on their web-site. Follow the links, it has info about the summer program awards, the all expense paid college visit, etc.

Congratulations to all of you! We are so proud of our son and I’m sure your families are too!!!

Yay College Prep Scholar! I’m awarded an invitation to the QuestBridge College Admissions Conference at Yale University, but I’ll be in Colorado on that day for my leadership academy I’m also nominated for college visits
Did anyone get the telementoring award or college counseling? I hope that it’ll be notified at a later time or something because that was the prize I was aiming for, aside from the summer program of course :)

From the looks of it, students have only been notified of the College Admissions Conference on 6/22 and for the college visit nominations…I was also wondering about the telementoring!!

NewHavenCTmom I really hope so! But according to Questbridge, only about 60 College Prep Scholars will receive free counseling, so it’s REALLY competitive!

I found out today that I was selected as a Fein Fellow, meaning I am invited to the Yale conference, will receive a laptop, get counseling and be nominated for college visits. Congrats to all of the other new scholars!

@mantisshrimp For basic stats, I have a 3.86 uw, 11 of 122 and 1930 SAT. My main essay was about how zip lining taught me to not be afraid of the unknown.
