U’Chicago matched a walloping 51 students this year.

Here’s a compilation for how many are from each school. Please add to this!

Working on the stats page

I know there’s probably threads on this, but can someone explain to me how the whole ‘matching’ process works because wiki is confusing…

Didn’t get it . Oh well . Life goes on . Off to RD !

I didnt get matched, but how do I forward my app to EA for MIT now?

Surprisingly, Pomona takes the largest number of Matched Quest Scholars proportionally- 17 for a student body of 1600 is larger than 51 for a student body of 5400 (U’Chicago). Haverford is a surprising 3rd with 10 matched students for a student body of 1100.

Keep on updating! Just added four schools.

Don’t worry if you weren’t matched, though–from the looks of it, all QuestBridge applicants were extremely well qualified this year (uchicago, I’m looking at you!). I’m sure a lot more than 1,300 will be accepted RD, just watch :D

I find it funny, nostalgicwisdom, that the two of us doing stats analysis today were accepted to UChicago. I wrote up a spreadsheet predicting numbers of Matches this morning in this thread, and got it spot on. Of course, the margin of error was pretty big, but still.
Hey, when do you think they’ll let us into the Quest Scholars Network stuff? I want to start trying to socialize with some of my new compadres.

12 were matched with Washington and Lee

Congratulations to everybody who was matched!!!

And to anyone who wasn’t, don’t despair! You will ace the early decision II and regular decision rounds! You guys are impressive, and you will add so much to your respective colleges.

Congrats to all of you who got matched. I didn’t get matched, but I am not planning on giving up. The wait till I get the decisions in April will kill me though!!

@college5214
I’ve been waiting for an email from MIT for directions on how to apply early action but I haven’t gotten anything yet, I’m getting a bit worried.

Congrats to those who were matched. For those who weren’t, I’m sure all of you will get in Regular Decision or Early Action to your respective colleges. This year was extremely competitive for applicants. But! With your QB application on your side in addition with your regular application, I’m confident all of you will do great in the RD round. Good luck to all of you!!!

@modulusshift, nostalgicwisdom is a current student at Pomona, matched last year, he is creating the list and was just commenting on UChicago’s generous admit #s for QB applicants. My D was matched with Williams which has considerably less impressive admissions record for matching since it is 30% larger than Pomona and matched fewer than half the # of students Pomona did. But they do have impressive racial diversity on campus so maybe schools like Williams admit many more students in ED II/RD rounds. It would be interesting if one of you stats guys analyzed the # of matched students relative to the size of the student body so we could see relative %s. You can do that in your spare time now that you never have to do another college application!!! lol!
