I have been stressed lately about choosing whether to apply for Questbridge or not. I did not make CPS and its probably unlikely I would even make finalist in the college match. Applying through QB means earlier deadlines and more work for something that may not even work out for me in the end. However, QB can guarantee I can go to college for free and allows me to showcase my personal situation that the Common App may not. Do I have a bigger chance of being accepted to a top tier college through applying early action or through QB? Is QB worth it?
I’m in the same dilemma. I don’t know if you’ve glazed over the numbers but out of ~15,000 applicants, ~5,000 get accepted as finals into QB. Out of those 5,000 only ~750 get matched to a college. So out of 15,000 applicants, 750 get matched to a college. That’s an acceptance rate of about 5%. I need to decide if I should focus on my Common App or apply to QB NCM and I really don’t know if I’ll have the time to complete both.
Hello
I’m sorry I don’t really have an answer, but the QB deadline is in 2 week and Im in the same situation, I was wondering if either of made your decisions on whether or not to apply ad why or why not? I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!
@bxs2018 I am definitely applying and you should too. We don’t have anything to lose and everything to gain, so why not give it a shot? Also, I know I would regret it if I didn’t apply.
