Hi, I have submitted my Questbridge application for the match program.
I have a few questions regarding the National College Match Program.
I have been searching the Questbridge and colleges' sites, but I cannot find some of the general FAQ.
Looking at my top 8 schools, I wanted to get a start on the colleges' supplements just in case I am notified as a Questbridge finalist.
As you can understand, I do not want to procrastinate eight college supplements starting October 22.
Some of the supplements the colleges requires supplements within the Common Application.

In case I am a finalist, I was wondering what the necessary parts of the Common Application I should fill out.
For the general Common Application, the prompts to the essays are very similar or identical to those of the Questbridge.

Will I have to write the prompts in a whole new way, or are the colleges going to see Questbridge's essays?

Schools such as Brown University does not require any other supplements. Does that mean Brown will only see the Questbridge application?

Could I possibly get a clarification on what exact parts of the Questbridge applications are sent to the college?

On the Questbridge Application it required SAT subject scores.

Will the colleges see all the scores that I posted on the Questbridge application? Or will they see the official scores that I send through Score Choice/Collegeboard and ACT website?
Will the colleges see the how I ranked each of the schools?

Just looking for several answers I am having hard time finding online.

As a QuestBridge applicant myself, I, too, have worried about these things, and I hope my answers will be helpful to you!

“For the general Common Application, the prompts to the essays are very similar or identical to those of the Questbridge. Will I have to write the prompts in a whole new way, or are the colleges going to see Questbridge’s essays?”
You may recycle your essays as needed when it comes to the common app and the QB app. I asked one of the Deans of Admissions at Amherst College about this when I was there, and they said that as long as the prompt is the same (ex. Evaluate a significant experience…), then it is alright to use the same essay AS LONG AS you do not use the same essay for 2 portions of the same application.

“Schools such as Brown University does not require any other supplements. Does that mean Brown will only see the Questbridge application?”
Yes. I talked to an admission officer from Brown, and she encouraged me to go ahead and fill out the common app and Brown’s supplement if I plan on ranking Brown. I was not sure how to approach this, so calling Brown’s undergrad admissions will help you with this inquiry. If you do not submit the common app + supplement, Brown WILL only see the QB application.

“Could I possibly get a clarification on what exact parts of the Questbridge applications are sent to the college?”
To the best of my knowledge, I believe the entire QB application is sent to the college.

“On the Questbridge Application it required SAT subject scores.
Will the colleges see all the scores that I posted on the Questbridge application? Or will they see the official scores that I send through Score Choice/Collegeboard and ACT website?”
Yes, they will see all the scores you post on the QB application. They will also see the official scores you send through Collegeboard and ACT.

“Will the colleges see the how I ranked each of the schools?”
No, colleges will have no clue what number they are ranked on your rankings.

Thank you! So does that mean Brown WILL see the supplements that I do on Application? It does not tell me if I should check off the early decision or regular…not sure what to do in that case…

@isaac. Here are the Brown requirements. You don’t need the Common App or Brown supplement for the Match round. If you are not matched but chosen as a finalist, you apply regular decision and submit the Common App and suppliment. If you are not a finalist, you can apply RD or ED. The requirements for each are spelled out below from

"What materials, in addition to my QuestBridge application, do I have to submit to Brown by the November 1st deadline in order for my application to be considered complete?

Official high school transcript.
Official scores for EITHER the SATs (including two Subject Tests) OR the ACT (with Writing).
You must submit electronically the CSS PROFILE Application.

If I am a College Match finalist and do not match with Brown, can I still apply through the Regular Decision process?

If you do not match with Brown as a finalist, or you match with a school that has a non-binding admission offer and you remain interested in Brown, we strongly encourage you to apply to Brown in our Regular Decision process, which has a January 1 deadline. In order to do so you must complete the Common Application, the Brown Supplement to the Common Application, and submit all required supporting materials.

If I am not named a finalist in the College Match Program, may I apply to Brown?

Yes. You have two options for applying to Brown if you are not named a finalist in the College Match process.* You may choose to apply under our Early Decision program, which has an application deadline of November 1.* You may also choose to apply under our Regular Decision program, which has an application deadline of January 1.* For either of our Early or Regular Application plans, we ask that you follow our usual application guidelines and submit the Common Application and the Brown Supplement to the Common Application. The QuestBridge application cannot be substituted for the Common Application for non-finalists who apply through our Early or Regular Decision programs. "
