I am a bit confused about how the applications work.
Let’s say I’m not a finalist. Can I apply to any of the partner schools using a fee waiver? Would I do that using the QB application or Common Application.
If I AM a finalist, and I do not match/match to a nonbinding school, can I apply for other colleges RD using a fee waiver?
I guess my main concern is whether questbridge provides fee waivers for students in all cases.
If you’re not a finalist then you don’t get QUESTBRIDGE fee waivers you of course can still get them through your school or the SAT or Common App but they won’t be through Questbridge…if you ARE a finalist then yes you get fee waivers in all cases regular decision for the match and again if you don’t match and want to apply RD to schools you didn’t rank
@olahpeeps really? Then wouldn’t everyone just do QB to get free apps even if they are not qualified to be finalist or more? I mean, I do hope you’re right because I could really use those free apps. Sending scores and filing CSS is already so darn expensive!
If you are not named a QuestBridge Finalist on Oct 20th, then you are basically on your own in terms of submitting applications and requesting fee waivers, etc. QuestBridge only submits its application, whether you are applying via the National College Match Process and/or via Regular Decision, to QB Partner Colleges if you are a Finalist. If you are not named a Finalist, it is like you never applied to QuestBridge at all.
Non-Finalists may be able to apply through Regular Decision. All college partners will require additional Regular Decision requirements in order to complete the application. For Non-Finalists, there may be more requirements than for Finalists, if using QuestBridge.
